Brian is a native and lifelong resident of Lexington, Kentucky. A graduate of Centre College, Brian earned four letters as a Varsity football player and served as Student Body President his senior year. Upon graduation Brian was presented with the Fred M. Vinson Award, named after the only Kentuckian to serve as Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. His double majors in Government and Economics prepared him for his days at the University Of Kentucky College Of Law.

Upon Law School graduation in 1984, Brian began practicing in the area of real estate and transactional law and has continued to do so since that time. Brian was recognized as the Outstanding Young Alumni of Centre College in 1995. He has also served on various boards and community groups. In 1990 Brian was the President of the Lexington Jaycees and selected that year as one of the most outstanding local chapter Presidents in the United States. Brian served the local bar as President of the Fayette County Bar Association in 1999-2000.

Since 2001 Brian has served as an adjunct Professor of Business Law at Transylvania University. Additionally Mr. Gardner gives seminars and presentations to local realtor groups and others based upon his perspective and experience of nearly 25 years practicing transactional and real estate law.
